Our interpretation of the iconic image of the Mother and Child that first appeared on a wall painting in the Catacomb of Priscilla, Rome, Italy.
The impressionist image of mother and child are sculpted in virgin white glass. A gather of clear glass is applied then fumed with a translucent blue veil.
A final gather of crystal clear glass is applied over the central design elements and an opalescent pearl finish is applied.
The entire piece is ground flat front and back then polished to a high finish revealing the interior design elements.
The Madonna is one of our most popular pieces and the price includes an engravable marble presentation base.
