Around the waist of this design are letters contained in a square on both sides of the piece which read "Ennion Made Me"
During the reign of the emperor Augustus, glass objects began to appear throughout Italy, France, Germany and Switzerland.
Roman glass has even been found in China, shipped there by way of the silk routes.
