Violet, teal, white and black glass make up the swirling waters of this Arctic Sea. The interior and glass casing use 30% recycled materials.

The Arctic Ocean has both the Siberian and North American rivers flowing into it creating low salinity which causes the ocean to freeze into a slush described in 325 BC:

"The Sun only set three hours each day and the water became a congealed substance on which one can neither walk nor sail."

On October 1, 1931 the cargo ship Baychimo became trapped in this pack ice and was abandoned. Over several decades the Ghost Ship drifted hundreds of miles with numerous sightings.

The last recorded sighting of Baychimo was by a group of Inuit in 1969, 38 years after she was abandoned.
