This is one of our more complex design executions combining multiple color and sculpting techniques to produce a stunning representation of the mythical Phoenix.
Look carefully at the closeup images below and you'll see how these applied techniques produce distinctive individual layers of flaming feathers.
The Phoenix, is a sacred firebird found in the mythologies of Arabia, Persia, Greece, Rome, Egypt, China, India and Phoenicia.
According to legend, it is a bird with colorful plumage and a tail of gold and scarlet.
When it nears the end of it's 500 to 1,000 year life-cycle, it builds a nest of twigs which ignite upon completion.
Both the nest and bird burn fiercely reducing them to ashes from which a new live phoenix or egg arises to live again.
