This teardrop sculpture is our tribute to the Silver Falls hiking complex of Northwest Oregon during winter.

Virgin white glass powder simulates snow while ice blue transparent provides the turbulent flow.

Sheets of dichroic glass are fused into the design to complete the effect of an active waterfall by adding a transparent rainbow sparkle.

Silver Falls is a State Park 20 miles east of Salem comprising 9,000 acres and 24 miles of hiking trails.

The 9 mile Canyon Trail runs along the banks of Silver Creek and passes ten individual waterfalls.

Four of the ten falls have amphitheaters that allow hikers to pass behind the sheets of falling water.

There are a total of 16 falls in the complex, with the tallest being Double Falls at 178 feet.
