Marble has been used in art and architecture for thousands of years.
It's rich variations of color and texture are created over millions of years through sedimentation, mineral percolation, heat and pressure.
Natural marble has a light refractive index created by its interlocking mosaic of carbonate crystals.
This unique structure allows light to penetrate several millimeters into the stone.
This gives marble its visual depth and a small degree of luminosity, but no transparency.
By combining the same rare earth minerals found in stone with transparent glass, we are creating rich marble glass for use in a variety of new designs.
This new glass has a depth and luminosity unattainable in natural marble with even richer colors and texture.
