Inspired by Asian mythology, our Jade Dragon employs a variety of threading and sculpting techniques.
Colors are thoroughly tested before attempting any design in our dragon series.
Without colors of compatible fusing temperatures the intricate detail of a design can be lost during sculpting.
The same is true for the over all temperature of a design during reheats. Too many reheats or too much heat and a piece can be lost.
Not all attempts are successful, but when conditions are right, a three dimensional design emerges which is faithful to the graphic images that inspired them.
The word Dragon entered the English language in the early 13th century.
They have reptilian traits influenced by dinosaur fossils and they appear in the myths of both western and eastern cultures.
Dragons are said to possess magic or supernatural powers and in some cultures are even capable of human speech.
Having taught humans how to talk, they are also said to be wiser owing to their tremendous longevity.
